Our Story

Home/Our Story
Since 2009

From a shuttered landmark to Naperville’s gathering place

In 2008, Daniel and Elena Marchetti walked through a boarded-up 1926 building on Iroquois Avenue — once a motorcar showroom, later a textile hall — and saw a ballroom. A year of restoration later, Anara Hall opened its doors in 2009 with a single wedding for sixty guests.

Seventeen years on, that same family still signs for the deliveries. We’ve grown to four spaces and a team of event professionals, but the idea hasn’t changed: give every host a beautiful room, honest food, and a crew that sweats the details so they don’t have to.

What We Believe

How we do things

◆

One event at a time

We book just one event of each kind per day. Your room, your kitchen and your coordinator are never shared or rushed out for the next party.

Food we’re proud of

Everything is cooked in our own kitchen, to order, by a chef who tastes every menu with you first. No mystery caterer, no reheated trays.

Honest, all-in pricing

Tables, Chiavari chairs, linens, setup and teardown are included. Your proposal lists everything; there are no surprise line items the week of.

A local team

Decisions get made here on Iroquois Avenue, by people you’ll actually see on your event day — not a call center in another state.

Ready for anything

Every outdoor booking includes a guaranteed indoor backup. Weather, timelines, last-minute headcounts — we plan for them so you can relax.

Open to everyone

Every faith, culture and celebration is welcome. We adapt menus, layouts and traditions to fit your family, not the other way around.

The Building

A room with a past

The barrel-vaulted ceiling you’ll stand under in the Grand Ballroom is original to 1926. We kept the arched clerestory windows, the terrazzo thresholds and the brass detailing, then added everything a modern event needs — climate control, theatrical lighting, a commercial kitchen and accessibility throughout.

The result is a venue that feels established and warm, but never dated. It’s the kind of place guests remember, and the reason so many Naperville families come back for the next milestone.
